Each chapter is filled with scriptural references and ends with some bullet point questions to make you think about what you just read so that you can digest your thoughts and try to put things into practice. The following chapters go through various aspects of the nature and character of God and his he and we relate to one another. The author then goes on to give a little background on herself, her own mixed cultural marriage and her own struggles with identity within all of that, which is how and why she came to write this book. I think that's something we all could do with thinking about properly. This book begins with a couple short chapters inducing the purpose of the book and the intent behind it: to find your own identity in Christ and what that means. This book isn't necessarily one I would pick up to read normally, but I don't mind reading things that are different for me at times because you never know what you'll find!
